Let It Go

A little boy was in a store shopping with his mom and he had a toy that kept singing the theme song from Frozen. He was probably two or three years old. He didn’t know all of the words to the song, he just kept singing “let it go, let it go” at the top of his lungs. It was so cute and funny to hear his voice bellowing through the aisles. He had the deepest voice I have ever heard for a little boy that young!

When things are happening in our lives and we don’t know all the words (or how it’s going to turn out), we should sing “let it go, let it go”, giving the situation, heartache or worry to Jesus. He told us to cast our cares on Him because he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Sometimes He doesn’t give us all of the words to the song because we don’t understand what He’s composing, but wants us to trust Him to handle it. Sometimes all we need to know is to let it go.

Be Still

Be still and know I’m God. Through the pain of the trial and the triumph of the breakthrough, I’m with you. In the midst of your heartbreak, I’ll fill you with my unchanging love, giving you the perfect model of love. Through your darkest night and rocky seas, I’ll be the beacon of light to fix your eyes on, while I guide you safely through the storm. I can be everything you need, if you would be still and know that I am God.

Living in the Reflection of the Son

Sun warm on my skin, the Son radiating deep within. Your love and mercy beyond all I can imagine.

Living in the reflection of the Son

The ways you’ve made out of what seemed to be dead ends is evidence of your greatness.

Living in the reflection of the Son

By your grace, I live and breathe. This second chance, is not lost on me. Every day, the world through your eyes let me see.
