When you think of the word legacy, what comes to mind? Is it making a name for yourself, amassing personal wealth or creating a foundation to help others? Children can also be the legacy of their parents; seeds of both, planted and nourished to carry on heritage and tradition. All of these are examples of legacy and there’s nothing wrong with any of them, but what if we thought of legacy as something more simplistic?
The way we touch the lives of people we come in contact with every day is our legacy or lasting impression on the world. We should never underestimate the power of an encouraging word, a hug, the sharing of a meal or a simple acknowledgement has on someone’s day and life.
If we were conscious of our interactions as being our imprint on the world, how different would they be?
