Clean Sweep

Just like we do spring cleaning in our homes, deep clean your mind of the clutter and dirt left behind by past hurts, shame and resentment. Like clearing the cobwebs allows you to see and walk about unobstructed, clear your mind of memories that cloud your judgement and your way. Keep the wisdom gained and sweep the waste to the trash and take it to the curb. Sweep, sweep, sweep!

Open the window to allow the fresh air of forgiveness to rid your house of the stale air. Wash the window of your soul of all the grime that’s accumulated. Attack the clutter by sorting through to keep what is of value, putting it in its rightful place. Wash and polish the baseboards and floors of the dust that has settled.

Now, breathe in deep and smell the clean. Appreciate and bask in the unfiltered sunshine pouring into the room and into your soul.

Freedom of Choice

No matter what we go through, no matter how we feel, we always have a choice. The choice to bury our head in the sand or face the obstacle in our path. The choice to run away or stand up and fight really depends on the situation because either could be the right action to take. It really has to do with how we see ourselves, what we believe about ourselves and where we believe our strength comes from.

Sometimes the options aren’t desirable or meet our perception and hope of how it would fit into our lives. One of the definitions of fit is being suitable for a specified purpose. Sometimes difficulty and heartbreak are suitable for the specified purpose of developing character and compassion, widening of perspective or recognizing where you got off course and need to refocus. But it comes full circle to choice. We choose to stay where we are or grow. And that’s a powerful thing.

Believeland Rocks!

Dawning of a new day. On the edge of a new era, expectation and destiny are crisp in the air. Like a phoenix rises from the ashes, a city reclaims the legacy. The highlight reel from the past has been on continual repeat; The Drive, The Shot and The Mistake on the Lake have been replaced with All In and Windians Rally Together. That’s how we overcome the ridicule and adversity of the past; join together to support one another.

Can you believe it? Oh, I believe it. Believeland Rocks!

History shouldn’t be forgotten or rewritten. Remember The Miracle of Richfield and the World Series Champs of 1948. All are reminders of what we’ve been through, what we’ve survived and how we’ve thrived.

Can you believe it? Oh, we believe it. Believeland Rocks!

New chapters written with stories to tell, the city and her people grind, stand strong and transform. All Across Northeast Ohio and beyond, sing out the anthem – This Town Is My Town – with voices and hearts raised.

Can you believe it? Oh, we believe it. Believeland Rocks!

The Quiet

Some people are afraid of quiet, craving constant chatter and noise, busyness. There’s a difference between silence and quiet for me.

The quiet is stillness. It brings me back to the audience of One; giving thanks, shedding tears and unburdening my soul. Quiet allows me to slow the frenetic pace and rest in a place of calm. The quiet clears my mind and helps me find new perspective. Refreshed, I can get back into the game with renewed strength and focus.

I’m a work in progress, clay on the Potter’s wheel. Broken and by His intention, being refashioned into the fine work of art He alone can render.
