There’s strength in admitting where you’re weak and that you
need the Spirit of God to intervene. It’s where reality meets and is
overridden by God’s ability and willingness to do more than we
can ask or think. A warrior doesn’t fight and go forth in his or her
own strength; they go forth in the spirit of their King.
So he said to me,”This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by
might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. –
Zechariah 4:6 (NIV)
Diamonds and pearls. Silver and gold. Veils and tiaras. A veil covers more than a bride’s face from her intended; it is the covering of deceit to two women. Just a smidgen of truth interwoven with a ton of lies, but I found and unraveled the thread. Empty promises carried in vessels of words flowed effortlessly from your lips.
When confronted with the truth, the mask became hot and you started to sweat. Realizing your ultimate goal wouldn’t be accomplished, defensiveness and angry insults spilled forth, though you tried to reel them back. It’s too late; peek-a-boo, I see you!
No longer blind, the warrior’s eyes are focused on what’s real and her legs are strong for the journey forward. She knows it’ll be a hard road, but it is better than being where God isn’t. With back straight and head held high, she embraces the Truth, for it has set her free.
She’s a whirlwind; untamed hair, heart and spirit. The warmth of her smile and compassion radiate all around you. Fluttering on butterfly wings, she’s the Beautiful Wild.
She saw you were different, so she alighted on your shoulder, and in time, in your hand. You admired her beauty, was mesmerized by her spirit, yet you held back. Was it fear that if you let her in completely and showed her everything that she wouldn’t stay? She already knew there was darkness in your soul, like every human has, but she also knew that it only took a crack to allow the light to pour in.
Instead of approaching your life with her anew, you painted her with the broad brush of your past. Her wings are strong, but delicate; they can’t fly under that weight.
The Beautiful Wild loves you with everything she has, so much so, that she won’t force a love, journey and adventure on you that you’re not ready for.
The Beautiful Wild will change you forever, but in a way where you’re better than you were before.
When we have Peter moments, doing what we thought was impossible feels amazing. Walking on the waters of our relationships, fears and challenges, but when the raging wind becomes the focus, we start sinking. When we look down, we start to go down. Keep your eyes on Jesus. He’s got you.
Home is where I feel loved. A safe haven from the storm. A place where I can let
my hair and guard down, comfortable in sharing all that I am. Tears running down
my face in laughter or pain, when I’m home, it’s okay. You are my home.
Woman that loves you with all her heart and soul
I may trip over the entanglements of life, but Lord I hold fast to you. You’re the only one who will pull me through.
In a world like a wormhole, brimming with alternative facts, flip side realities and alter egos, your love never fails.
Your grace and mercy never change, yet are new every morning.
Your love is like the galaxies; never ending and always something new to discover.
Lord, I hold fast to you. You’re the only one who will pull me through.
God, in you I trust. Through uncertainty, heartbreak and the trials of life. For that’s all they are; opportunities for me to trust and lean on you. Testimony to your miraculous power, grace and mercy.
Lord, before this was brought to my doorstep, you knew, you made provision, you gave love and grace unmeasurable. So if no one else stands with me, I know you do. I’ll fight and move forward in your name, knowing you’re with me. Worrying won’t help, but trusting you will. In God I trust.
